Find what you remember

Browse by capture date, people, and content. Search text recognized inside photos, with analysis performed on your Mac. Face recognition uses an additional local model.

Compare exact duplicates and choose what to keep. Review actual filenames before moving photos to Trash.

See proposed destinations before copying or moving files. Organize operations keep a journal so you can undo them.

Enhance, rotate, or remove a background. Save edits as a separate file. Object erase uses an additional local model.

Bring a chosen copy home.

Connect Google Drive in your browser, browse folders, and download a photo you choose. Drive for desktop isn’t required. Add the download folder to your library when you want local analysis.

Is MyMedia free?

The first public release will be free. There is no MyMedia subscription planned for the first release. Optional third-party services may charge separately.

Do I need an account?

No account is needed for local photos. Connecting Google Drive is optional and requires your Google sign-in.

Can I download it now?

MyMedia Photos is being tested on macOS. A public download will follow release testing and Mac signing/notarization. Contact us about early testing.

Does it upload my photos?

Local indexing and analysis don’t upload photos. Optional place lookup, cloud portrait generation, and S3 backup use external services when you choose them. See the privacy policy for the data each feature sends.

Does Google Drive mean Google Photos?

No. This integration browses files in Google Drive. It doesn’t provide access to your Google Photos library or private YouTube videos.
